We are a group of women in the national capital region of canada who all share a love for women in common. Lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals, women-folk supporters, and other varieties of queer women are welcome!
You can find our group here discussing, blogging, sharing photos, planning events and more!
It was a hot August night back in that summer of 1983 when Madonna’s hit “Lucky Star” was just making waves and my parents were making a baby called me. I would like to believe that I was conceived out of love and not my parents’ need to get some action but I wasn’t there. Well I was… sort of. Out of one moment in time during one night of passion or simple good old missionary fun I was created. Sometime around nine months later I was born and I have been wreaking havoc on the world since.

Capital Xtra's Lesbian/Gay Xpo (LGX) is an annual event which is held at the Jack Purcell Community Centre on Elgin Street. LGX provides Ottawa GLBT organizations with an opportunity to show what they do, and gives attendees an opportunity to talk to various members of the organizations.
For lesbians ... there will be members from the main Ottawa lesbian groups (i.e., LOG, LIX, SAGE and PTS Women's Group) at this year's LGX. This is a great place to talk to the people who run these groups and to find out what they can offer to the lesbian community.
QWO is growing...
I wanted to share with you all the lovely article that was in capital Xtra about QWO.
